How big should your rug be? The front-legs rule
A rug that floats in the middle of the room makes it look smaller. Here is the rule our designers use.
The Nook team

Put the front legs of every seat on the rug, leave 20 to 45 cm of floor around it, and never go narrower than the sofa.
In a small room this usually means a bigger rug than you expect. It pulls the pieces together and makes the floor look calm instead of busy.
